Willem Dafoe Joins Jenna Ortega & Michael Keaton In ‘Beetlejuice 2’

One of the biggest stories in Hollywood so far this year is that the long-awaited sequel to the cult-classic film Beetlejuice is officially happening with Michael Keaton back as the titular character. However, the Emmy winner is surrounding himself with quite a stellar cast as well. As first reported by Giant Freakin Robot and confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Willem Dafoe is the latest name to join the cast of Beetlejuice 2.
Jenna Ortega is leading the cast as the daughter of Winona Ryder’s character Lydia Deetz from the original film. Ryder will reprise her role in the film as well. Additionally, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, and Monica Bellucci will appear in the film in various roles as well. Per the initial report, Dafoe is playing a police officer in the afterlife.

Al Gough and Miles Millar (Wednesday) are writing the sequel with Tim Burton back as the director. Burton will also serve as the film’s executive producer with Brad Pitt’s Plan B banner on board as well.
Willem Dafoe recently returned to the Marvel universe as Norman Osborn AKA The Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Additionally, his recent credits include standout performances in Nightmare Alley and The Northman. Up next, Dafoe will star alongside Jason Momoa in DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
