Jack Black & Keegan-Michael Key To Star In The Farrelly Brothers’ Christmas Comedy ‘Dear Santa’

In just a few short weeks, Jack Black will voice the iconic Nintendo villain Bowser in the highly anticipated Super Mario Bros. Movie. However, the actor is also looking to reteam with a filmmaking duo he knows very well in an upcoming project as well. As first reported by Deadline, Black will star in a new Christmas comedy from the Farrelly Brothers titled Dear Santa.
Black will be joined in the cast by Schmigadoon! star Keegan-Michael Key. Additionally, Robert Timothy Smith (Mythic Quest), Brianne Howey (Batwoman), Hayes MacArthur (Angie Tribeca), and Kai Cech (American Girl: Corinne Tan) will appear in the film as well. Bobby Farrelly will direct the feature with a script by him and Peter Farrelly, who will produce.

Per the initial report, Dear Santa follows a young boy who mistakingly makes a typo while writing his annual letter to Santa Claus and ends up addressing it to Satan instead.
Jack Black is one of the most recognizable comedic actors of his generation. This latest project reteams Black with the Farrelly Brothers following their smash 2001 hit Shallow Hal. Up next, Black will portray Claptrap in the upcoming movie adaptation of the Borderlands video game series. Meanwhile, Keegan-Michael Key is seemingly one of the most booked and busy men in Hollywood today. Following voice roles in 2022 films like Wendell & Wild, Pinocchio, and Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Key will join Jack Black in the cast of Super Mario Bros. Movie. Additionally, the multihyphenate actor will star alongside Timothée Chalamet in Wonka.
