LuPone joins Kathryn Hahn, who will star as the titular villain in the series. Moreover, Aubrey Plaza, and Heartstopper star Joe Locke are also in the evergrowing cast. Round out the ensemble are Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata, comedian Eric André, and Emma Caulfield Ford reprising her MCU role in the series as well. Per the initial report, LuPone’s role is a closely guarded secret. However, given the nature of the show, its likely she will portray a witch. Jac Schaefer, who served as head writer and executive producer on WandaVision, will return to those roles for Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
Best known for her work in musical theater, Patti LuPone won three Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, and two Grammy Awards, and was a 2006 inductee to the American Theater Hall of Fame. For her work on television, she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in Frasier. Up next, LuPone will star alongside Joaquin Phoenix and Nathan Lane in Beau Is Afraid.
