Maria Bakalova Cast As Cosmo the Spacedog In ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’

At San Diego Comic-Con 2022 during the Marvel Studios Hall H panel, it was revealed Maria Bakalova is starring in the film Cosmo the Spacedog. Not much is currently known about how much Cosmo will be featured, but there was an exclusive trailer shown to panel attendees.
Maria Bakalova burst onto the screen as Borat’s daughter in the comedy sequel. She was last seen in Netflix’s The Bubble, alongside her Guardians co-star, Karen Gillan. She will next be seen in A24’s Bodies Bodies Bodies and The Honeymoon.

Cosmo the Spacedog appeared in a cameo role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as in the Disney+ animated series What If…?. A telepathic Soviet dog, Cosmo is the security chief of the space station Knowhere and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Bakalova joins other recent additions to the cast Daniela Melchior, Will Poulter, who will portray Adam Warlock, and Peacemaker star Chukwudi Iwuji. The three newcomers join the ensemble cast featuring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Dave Bautista. James Gunn will write and direct the feature, which recently wrapped principal photography.
