Charlie Cox & Vincent D’Onofrio Confirmed To Appear In Marvel’s ‘Echo’

In what could possibly be one of the worst-kept secrets in recent Marvel history, fans of the Netflix-era of Marvel Television earned a major victory this week. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Daredevil stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are confirmed to return to the MCU in the upcoming Disney+ series Echo.
Charlie Cox has long been rumored to reprise his role in the series. Additionally, given D’Onofrio’s character’s history with the titular hero of the Echo series, it was always a possibility that he would appear as well. Sourcing The Weekly Planet podcast, THR reports that Daredevil will appear in the series in search of his former ally Jessica Jones. Krysten Ritter, who portrayed Jones in her own Netflix series, is another name that many fans expect to return to the MCU at some point.

Echo stars actress Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Cox made her Marvel debut alongside Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. D’Onofrio also appeared as the Kingpin in that series as well. Meanwhile, Charlie Cox makes a cameo appearance as Matt Murdock in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Echo hails from series creator Marion Dayre. Additionally, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene, and Zahn McClarnon all appearing in the series in various roles.
Charlie Cox recently starred in an Irish TV series titled Kin. Additionally, the actor touts notable roles on stage alongside Tom Hiddleston in Broadway’s revival of Betrayal. Up next, the actor will lead the cast of Netflix’s spy drama Treason. Additionally, with the recent news that Disney+ is developing its own Daredevil series, Cox’s time with Marvel appears to be far from over. Vincent D’Onofrio is one of the acclaimed actors in the modern era. Thanks to roles in Men in Black, Full Metal Jacket, and Jurassic World, the actor is a household name. Up next, D’Onofrio will star in George Lawson’s A Fall from Grace.
