‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’: Art Offers First Look At Ironheart Armor

The first look at Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams in her Mark 1 Ironheart armor has finally been revealed. New promotional art for the character’s design has recently surfaced online.
Ironheart, aka Riri Williams, is a relatively newer character, first appearing in Invincible Iron Man #7 in 2016. She reverse-engineered Tony Stark’s armor and took on the mantle after he fell into a coma after a fight with Captain Marvel. Eventually, after Tony reclaimed the title of Iron Man, Riri took on the name Ironheart and became a member of the Champions.

The MCU design for the armor has kept the bulky design of Williams Mark 1 in the comics while updating it to match the iconic red and gold Iron Man look. Additionally, it is interesting that Williams is partially unprotected by the suit, almost as if this is an exoskeleton rather than a full set of armor. It is currently unknown how the character will be introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but it will be exciting to see Ironheart make her live-action debut.
The film features returning stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett. It is also set to feature the MCU debut of Thorne as Riri Williams, who will take on the identity of Ironheart.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will release on November 11, 2022.
