Florence Pugh To Star In Netflix’s ‘East of Eden’ Limited Series

Florence Pugh has quickly become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after young performers. Following breakout roles in films like Little Women and Black Widow, Pugh will next set her eyes on the television medium. As first reported by Variety, Pugh will next star in a limited series for Netflix titled East of Eden.
The series hails from writer and executive producer Zoe Kazan, whose grandfather, Elia Kazan, Helmed the 1955 film with the same title. the series will be an adaptation of John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel. Anonymous Content and Endeavor Content will co-produce the series with Netflix handling distribution.

Set in California’s Salinas Valley, the film takes place from in-between the Civil War and World War I. The story weaves together a series of interconnected stories within the Hamilton family, Irish immigrants with nin children. The also depicts their connection with the wealthy Trask family with the drama focusing on Adam Trask and his family. Per the initial report, it is not yet known who PUgh will portray in the series adaptation.
The latest role on television continues Pugh’s rise to success. Making a splash in pro wrestling star Paige’s biopic Wrestling With My Family, the Midsommar star was quickly scooped up by Marvel Studios. The actress made her debut as Yelena Belova in Black Widow before reprising the role in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. Up next, Florence Pugh joins pop star Harry Styles and Gemma Chan in Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling. Additionally, Pugh will join the cast of the upcoming sequel to Dune.
