Jodie Comer To Star In ‘The End We Start From’ Adaptation

Jodie Comer is one of the fastest-rising performers in Hollywood today. A staple of awards season thanks to her stellar role in BBC’s Killing Eve, Comer’s big-screen career is blossoming as well. Up next, the multihyphenate is going to star in a new thriller in the works titled The End We Start From.
Per the initial report, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Benedict Cumberbatch is producing the feature via his SunnyMarch production banner. Hera Pictures, Anton, and BBC Film are all also on-board to produce and distribute the highly anticipated feature. British Academy Television Craft Award winner Mahalia Belo will direct the film.

Succession scribe Alice Birch penned the film’s screenplay based on the 2017 novel by Megan Hunter. Set in London, the story follows a woman shortly after the birth of her first child. When she and the child leave their home in search of safety, they travel through a dangerous country with threats around every corner.
Jodie Comer’s star continues to rise in recent years. Following a career-making performance in Killing Eve, Comer appeared alongside Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in The Last Duel. Additionally, the actress was able to flex some of her action-comedy muscles alongside Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi in Free Guy. Up next, Comer will star in Adam McKay’s upcoming HBO series, Big Swiss.
