Leaked ‘Batgirl’ Set Photos Reveal The First Look At Brendan Fraser

Filming on HBO Max’s Batgirl film is currently underway, giving fans a look at the movie’s stars. Thursday, new images from the set surfaced, revealing the first look at Brendan Fraser’s Firefly.
Created by France Herron and Dick Sprang, Firefly made his debut in Detective Comics #184 in 1952. The villain appeared in the first season of The CW’s Arrow, portrayed by Andrew Dunbar (Game of Thrones).

While the images above do not feature Fraser in his supervillain costume, they offer some hints at his character. Based on the actor’s civilian outfit, it seems that Firefly will be a more street-level threat which fits the tone the film is trying to establish.
Brendan Fraser currently stars in season three of DC’s acclaimed HBO Max series Doom Patrol as Robotman. Next, the George of the Jungle actor will star in Dalibor Stach’s Behind the Curtain of Night. Moreover, Fraser will lead the cast of Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming A24 feature titled The Whale. Additionally, Fraser will appear alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s Killers Of The Flower Moon.
Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will helm the film. Additionally, the script hails from Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson. It was previously announced that the project will debut on the Warner Bros. streaming service HBO Max.
