In 2003, Disney released The Haunted Mansion. The supernatural horror-comedy is directed by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King) and written by David Berenbaum. The film stars the incomparable Eddie Murphy as workaholic real estate agent Jim Evers. After his wife accuses him of neglecting his children, he takes the family on a vacation. However, when the family arrives at the home that Jim is trying to sell, they soon discover a haunted mansion with inhabitants looking to break a curse. However, the film grossed just $182.3 million worldwide and received less-than-desirable reviews from critics.
Following breakout roles in comedies like Girl’s Trip and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Tiffany Haddish’s stock continues to rise. Recently, Haddish recently appeared alongside Billy Crystal in the dark comedy Here Today. Additionally, Haddish will star alongside Nicholas Cage and Pedro Pascal in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Meanwhile, the incomparable Lakeith Stanfield recently earned an Oscar nod for his role in Judas and the Black Messiah. Outside of that, the Atlanta star continues to prove his range thanks to memorable roles in Knives Out, The Photograph, and Uncut Gems. Up next, Stanfield joins Jonathan Majors and Idris Elba in Netflix’s The Harder They Fall.
