Two of the most accomplished performers in cinematic history are set to reunite on the big screen. Hailing from Universal Pictures, a new comedy titled Ticket To Paradise stars Oscar winners, Georg Clooney and Julia Roberts. Now, as first reported by Deadline, Booksmart star Kaitlyn Dever is joining the two cinematic legends in the cast.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again director Ol Parker is on board to helm the upcoming film. Additionally, Clooney and Roberts will both executive produce the film alongside Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films. Moreover, the script is co-written by Parker and Daniel Pipski (Milk). Universal Pictures will handle the film’s financing and distribution with a release date scheduled for September 30, 2022.
The film’s plot charts the misadventures of two ex-spouses, portrayed by Clooney and Roberts. The former couple suddenly finds themselves on a shared mission to stop their lovestruck daughter (Dever) from making the same mistake they feel they made.
Up next for the multitalented Kaitlyn Dever is a starring role alongside Ben Platt in the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen. The young rising star will also appear alongside Michael Keaton in the highly anticipated Hulu miniseries Dopesick. Moreover, Roberts last appeared on the big screen in Peter Hedges’ Ben Is Back. Furthermore, the Pretty Woman actress continuously turns her attention to television projects like HBO’s The Normal Heart and Amazon’s Homecoming. Roberts will next team with Denzel Washington for Netflix’s Leave The World Behind. Meanwhile, George Clooney splits his time in front of and behind the camera these days. The former Batman will next direct Ben Affleck in Amazon’s The Tender Bar.
