Tom Holland To Star In Anthology Series ‘The Crowded Room’ For Apple TV+

Tom Holland is one of the biggest stars in the world thanks to his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the young actor often branches out and takes on roles that challenge dramatic capabilities to flex his acting muscles. Up next, Holland is leading the cast for a new series in the works for Apple TV+ titled The Crowded Room.
The anthology series hails from A Beautiful Mind’s Akiva Goldsman, who is on board to write and executive produce. Additionally, New Regency, the studio behind hit films like Birdman and 12 Years A Slave, will produce the series as well. The project will stream on Apple TV+ via Apple Studios.

The series will reportedly follow inspirational stories of people who struggle with and live successfully live with mental illness. Season one of The Crowded Room is based on author Daniel Keyes’ non-fiction novel The Minds of Billy Milligan. Mulligan is the first person in U.S. history acquitted of a major crime by pleading multiple-personality disorder. In the series, Holland will portray Mulligan and explore the reality of living with the disorder.
The latest role follows Holland’s exploration of post-traumatic stress disorder and drug addiction in the Russo Brothers’ Cherry on Apple TV+. Additionally, also starred in the 2020 psychological thriller The Devil All The Time alongside Robert Pattinson and Sebastian Stan. Up next, Holland will join Mark Wahlberg in the live-action adaptation of the Uncharted video game. Moreover, he is set to reprise his role of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
