Dylan O’Brien & Zoey Deutch To Star In ‘The Outfit’ For Focus Features
Two of Hollywood’s brightest young stars are teaming up with some filmmaking veterans for a new project recently acquired by Focus Features. As first reported by Deadline, Dylan O’Brien and Zoey Deutch are joining the cast of a new film produced by FilmNation Entertainment titled The Outfit.
The two actors will join The Trial Of The Chicago 7 standout Mark Rylance and Johnny Flynn (The Dig) in the film’s cast. The feature will serve as the directorial debut for the Oscar-winning writer of The Imitation Game, Graham Moore. Additionally, Moore penned the screenplay for The Outfit alongside Johnathan McClain (Mad Men). Scoop Wasserstein (Hijacked), Ben Browning (Promising Young Woman), and Amy Jackson (Supergirl) are on-board to produce as well.
The film begins in London’s world-famous Savile Row and follows Leonard, played by Rylance, a modest English tailor. Following a personal tragedy, Leonard ends up operating his own tailor shop in a sketchy neighborhood in Chicago. His work stalls until he begins making beautiful clothing for a family of vicious gangsters. The crime-drama will reportedly begin shooting in London in March 2021.
In a statement, Focus Features president Peter Kujawski expresses his excitement to team with the all-star cast and crew.
“Like so many, we were blown away by Graham’s award-winning work in The Imitation Game and are thrilled to take part in his directorial debut. His storytelling talents seem limitless, and the caliber of artists he’s sewn together both behind and in front of the camera for The Outfit will undoubtedly bring this thriller to life in an exciting way. We are looking forward to joining our friends at FilmNation in this endeavor.”
Dylan O’Brien recently wowed audiences with a memorable performance in the monster-adventure film Love and Monsters. The actor’s litany of credits includes starring roles in the Maze Runner series and on MTV’s Teen Wolf. Up next, O’Brien will star opposite Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor in Antoine Fuqua’s Infinite. Moreover, Zoey Deutch continues to impress with her roles in Netflix’s The Politician and Zombieland: Double Tap. Next for the actress is a starring role in a film titled Hound for Searchlight Pictures.
