Since his days on Saturday Night Live, Andy Samberg has consistently turned in memorable comedic performances. While a lot of his career has been spent making music alongside The Lonely Island or starring in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, some of his best work came last year in Hulu’s hit film Palm Springs. Up next, the actor will set his sights on a different streaming service. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Samberg will star in a yet-to-be-titled sci-fi project in the works at Apple TV.
Per the initial report, Andy Samberg will produce the feature as well. Palm Springs writer Andy Siara will write the film’s script based on an original idea by BoJack Horseman‘s Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Additionally, Noah Hawley (Fargo) and movie legend Ben Stiller are on-board to produce as well. Moreover, Dan Seligmann (Winter’s Bone) and Jackie Cohn (In the Dark) will executive produce alongside the aforementioned Raphael Bob-Waksberg.
While details on the film remain scarce, the feature will be a sci-fi-comedy-drama mashup. The all-star team of producers will next seek out a director to helm the picture.

Following a myriad of roles in both film and television, Samberg earned the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in 2013. Since then, the actor has done voice work for projects like The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and Hotel Transylvania 3. Up next, the performer will star in Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers along with John Mulaney.
Following an entertaining cameo in Adam Sandler’s Hubie Halloween on Netflix, Ben Stiller will next star in HBO Max’s Locked Down. However, the filmmaker has taken more work as a movie producer recently with Dinner in America and Friendsgiving. Furthermore, Noah Hawley will next team up with Ridley Scott for an Alien series in the works at FX.
