Bebe Rexha Boards STX Entertainment’s ‘Queenpins’ Alongside Kristen Bell & Vince Vaughn

Grammy Award-winner Bebe Rexha is one of the most well-known names and faces in the music industry. Following songwriting success with hit songs like Eminem’s “The Monster,” the multitalented artist transitioned to shining in her own center stage performances with hit singles and globe-spanning tours. Up next, according to THR, Rexha will make another shift in her career as she makes her live-action feature film debut alongside Kristen Bell and Vince Vaughn in STXfilms’ upcoming comedy Queenpins.
Previously, the singer lent her voice in the role of Tuesday in the 2019 animated film UglyDolls. Moreover, Rexha touts multiple appearances on reality shows like Ru Paul’s Drag Race and The Voice. Rexha’s 2018 debut studio album, Expectations reached number 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. The success came along with Rexha earning two nominations at the 61st Grammy Awards. In a statement, STXfilms chairman Adam Fogelson reveals a bit of information about the character Rexha will portray.
“This is a perfect film for Bebe to be making her live-action film debut. She’s an incredible talent and international superstar and we love her for this role as Tempe Tina, an eccentric computer hacker who helps our heroines with their coupon scam. We know she will add so much fun, talent, and personality to this cast.”
However, the musical artist is not the only new addition to the stacked cast. Recently, The Good Place standout Kirby Howell-Baptiste joined the ensemble, stepping into the role previously inhabited by Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones.

Additionally, Da 5 Bloods star Paul Walter Hauser will appear in the film as well. The picture will reportedly be written and directed by the Emmy-nominated husband and wife team of Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly. Best known for their work on Beneath The Harvest Sky, the filmmaking duo will produce the picture through their Team A & G, Inc banner. Ben Stiller will also serve as the film’s executive producer.
The film is based on an incredible true story of the largest coupon counterfeit scheme in American history. It will focus on two best friends in Pheonix (Howell-Baptiste and Bell) who create a plot to counterfeit coupons and soon find themselves running a $40 million scam. Aloe Entertainment and Marquee Entertainment will collaborate to finance and produce the film with production beginning later this year.
