‘The Batman’ Release Date Moves To October 2021

Amidst the uncertainty stemming from the CO-VID 19 pandemic, some of Hollywood’s biggest, most anticipated releases continue to be affected drastically. As first reported by The Wrap, Warner Bros has made the decision to push the release date for Matt Reeves’ The Batman from June 25, 2021 to October 1, 2021, just four months later.
The move follows other film delays like Wonder Woman 1984 and No Time To Die. While this delay is not as drastic as the one-year shift for films like F9, this delay is due to the halt in production and the lack of confidence about when production can resume.

Additionally, Borys Kit from THR revealed via Twitter that Warner Bros will also move The Flash from July 1, 2022 to June 3, 2022 and Shazam! 2 from April 1, 2022, to November 4, 2022.
Starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role of the Caped Crusader, The Batman promises to provide a new take on the Dark Knight. Reportedly set within the third year of Batman’s crime-fighting career, the hero will face challenges from a bevy of villains like The Penguin and The Riddler. Additionally, the film will feature the talents of A-list actors Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, and Zoe Kravitz. Set photos and footage from the last few months provide fans with what to expect from the film.
