Taika Waititi & Jude Law In Talks To Bring ‘The Auteur’ Series To Showtime

At the 92nd Academy Awards, Jojo Rabbit director Taika Waititi made history by winning the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. However, the filmmaker is far from slowing his career down. In fact, he is about to be busier than ever. As first reported by Deadline, Showtime is eyeing a new limited series written by Waititi with Jude Law attached to star.
Written by the Thor: Ragnarok director, The Auteur will be an adaptation of the graphic novel by Rick Spears. The story chronicle a producer named Nathan T. Rex. Following a career failure, Rex enters a downward spiral of drugs and depravity as he attempts to resurrect his career and, ultimately, save his soul. Law would likely play the role of Rex.
