Before his latest venture, Drive-Away Dolls even hits theaters next month, Ethan Coen has locked in his next project. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Coen is penning a script alongside his wife Tricia Cooke for a film titled Honey Don’t! with Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, and Margaret Qualley already attached to star.
Per the initial report, the film’s premise is being kept close to the writer’s chest at this time. However, sources close to the project claim the film will take place in Bakersfield, California. Additionally, Margaret Qualley is reportedly playing a private investigator while Chris Evans will step into the role of a cult leader.

Focus Features will produce and distribute the film, much like they’re doing with Coen’s Drive-Away Dolls. In addition to their screenwriting duties, Coen and Cooke will serve as executive producers for the film alongside Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner for their Working Title production banner.
Chris Evans has been keeping himself busy since hanging up the shield as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Most recently, the actor starred alongside Emily Blunt in Netflix’s Pain Hustlers and will next join Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Amazon’s Christmas movie Red One. Meanwhile, Aubrey Plaza will soon follow in her co-star’s footsteps in joining the MCU Agatha: Darkhold Diaries after last appearing alongside Jason Statham in Operation Fortune. Margaret Qualley touts a memorable role in current awards season favorite Poor Things, starring Emma Stone. Up next, the Qualley will appear in Coen’s latest, Drive-Away Dolls.
