Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, & Willem Dafoe To Star In Yorgos Lanthimos’ ‘AND’

The Favourite director Yorgos Lanthimos has already begun planning his next big film and has tapped an all-star ensemble cast for it. As first reported by Deadline, the multi-time Academy Award-nominee is enlisting Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, and Margaret Qualley to star in the new film titled AND.
Yorgos Lanthimos will direct the feature with a script penned by himself and Efthimis Filippou (The Lobster). Searchlight Pictures will produce and distribute the film in collaboration with Element Pictures and Film4. Principal photography is currently scheduled to begin in New Orleans in October.

At this time, plot details are scarce. However, in a statement, Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield express their excitement to begin producing and working with the star-studded group of creatives.
“Working with Yorgos continues to be a highlight for us at Searchlight, and this is yet another truly original project that sets his work apart,” they said. “Working again with Emma, Willem, Jesse, and Margaret as well as Element and Film4 is just the icing on the cake.”
Emma Stone recently earned herself a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Disney’s Cruella. Up next, Stone will star in Yorgos Lanthimos’s next film Poor Things as well as A24’s Showtime series The Curse, alongside Benny Safdie. Meanwhile, Jesse Plemons’ recent roles include impressive turns in Jungle Cruise, Antlers, and The Power of the Dog. Up next, he joins Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. Moreover, Willem Dafoe returned to the Marvel universe as Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Up next, the cinematic icon will return to the DC universe in James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
