Oscar Isaac & Jason Momoa To Star In Julian Schnabel’s ‘In The Hand Of Dante’

Amidst the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes where actors are fighting for fair wages as well as the right to their likeness not being recreated using AI, a few studios have successfully snagged an Interim Agreement from the actor’s union allowing certain productions to film. One of these exciting projects is an adaptation of the crime thriller In The Hand Of Dante with A-listers Oscar Isaac and Jason Momoa on board to star.
Gerard Butler will also appear in the film, which is already in production in Italy. Oscar-nominee Julian Schnabel is directing the feature with MeMo Films and TWIN Productions footing the bill.

Based on the 2002 novel by Nick Tosches, In The Hand Of Dante interweaves two separate stories, one set in the 14th century in Italy and Sicily and featuring Dante Alighieri, and another set in the autumn of 2001 and featuring a fictionalized version of Nick Tosches as the protagonist. As Dante tries to finish writing his life’s greatest work, he goes on a journey for mystical knowledge in Sicily. Meanwhile, Tosches is called in by black market traders to attest to the authenticity of a manuscript of The Divine Comedy supposedly written by Dante himself.
Oscar Isaac is a Golden Globe Award-winning actor best known for his roles in the Star Wars and Marvel universes. Most recently, the actor lent his voice to the highly acclaimed animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and will likely reprise his role of Moon Knight in the ongoing MCU. Meanwhile, Jason Momoa is no stranger to the superhero realm and will next portray Aquaman in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
