Joseph Quinn Rumored To Play Johnny Storm In Marvel’s ‘Fantastic Four’

It seems not a week goes by without another rumor regarding the casting choices for Marvel Studios upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Now, after names like Paul Mescal and Jack Quaid have been thrown around for weeks, insider Jeff Sneider has claimed that Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn has been tapped to portray Johnny Storm AKA The Human Torch in the upcoming film.
Additionally, Sneider reports that Vanessa Kirby is locked in as Johnny Storm’s sister Sue AKA The Invisible Woman. At this time, Ben Grimm AKA The Thing and Reed Richards AKA Mister Fantastic have not been cast.

Johnny Storm writer Stan Lee’s and Jack Kirby’s reinvention of a similar, previous character, the android Human Torch of the same name and powers who was created in 1939 by writer-artist Carl Burgos for Marvel Comics’ predecessor company, Timely Comics. In films, the Human Torch has been portrayed by Jay Underwood in the unreleased 1994 film The Fantastic Four; Chris Evans in the 2005 film Fantastic Four, and its 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer; and Michael B. Jordan in the 2015 film Fantastic Four.
Joseph Quinn took the world by storm when he joined the cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things in season 4 as Eddie Munson. Additionally, Quinn touts memorable supporting roles in the BBC series Les Misérables and Strike. Up next, Quinn will star in Luna Carmoon’s upcoming indie drama Hoard. The actor will also star alongside Lupita Nyong’o in A Quiet Place: Day One. Additionally, Quinn will join Denzel Washington, Barry Keoghan, and Paul Mescal in the long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott’s Gladiator.
