Oscar Isaac has had quite the run over the last few years. Thanks to roles in hit films and TV shows, Isaac is a household name. Up next, it looks like the actor will be playing a real person in his upcoming project. As first reported by Variety, the Moon Knight star is in talks to star in portray writer and humorist Kurt Vonnegut in an upcoming series for Amazon.
The series, titled Helltown, will be based on the book of the same name written by Casey Sherman. Mohamad El Masri (Severance) will serve as the showrunner and head writer. Edward Berger, the director of All Quiet on the Western Front, which picked up a few Oscars at the 95th Academy Awards is on board as the show’s director and executive producer.
Per the initial report, the crime thriller will run for 8 hourlong episodes. It will follow the life and times of Kurt Vonnegut before he became a world-renowned author and humorist. Check out the official logline straight from Amazon below.

Oscar Isaac is perhaps best known for his roles in the Star Wars and Marvel franchises. However, the actor’s filmography also touts award-winning roles in shows like Scenes from a Marriage and memorable turns in blockbusters like Dune. Up next, Oscar Isaac will voice Spider-Man 2099 in Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
