Karan Soni Cast As Spider-Man India In ‘Across The Spider-Verse’

Another star has officially been cast in Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Deadpool star will voice Spider-Man India.
Created by Sharad Devarajan, Suresh Seetharaman, and Jeevan J. Kang in 2004, Pavitr Prabhakar first appeared in Spider-Man India #1. Originally from a small village in India, the character moved to Mumbai with his Aunt Maya and Uncle Bhim. After meeting an ancient yogi, Pavitr was gifted the powers of a spider in order to fight evil.

Soni has previously starred opposite Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool and Deadpool 2 as Dopinder. He has also had roles in films including Trolls World Tour and Strange World.
Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps, but it is known. Miles will travel across six other universes as he encounters new Spider-Men and old friends. Kaluuya joins returning voices, including Shameik Moore as Miles, Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen, and Oscar Isaac as Spider-Man 2099.
Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson are set to direct the sequel, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller serving as writers and producers. Peter Ramsey, who co-directed the first film, will return as an executive producer alongside Aditya Sood.
