Will Ferrell & Reese Witherspoon To Star In Untitled Wedding Comedy For Amazon

Two of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood look to team up for a project recently picked up by Amazon Studios. As first reported by Deadline, Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon will join forces for a new, currently-untitled comedy.
Per the initial report, the upcoming feature hails from writer-director Nick Stoller (Bros). Additionally, Stoller, Ferrell, and Reese Witherspoon will all serve as executive producers for the project. Jessica Elbaum (Booksmart), Ashley Strumwasser (Little Fires Everywhere), and Conor Welch (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) are also all on board to produce the film.

At this time, plot details are scarce. However, the initial report notes that the film is a wedding comedy.
While Will Ferrell’s claim to fame comes from his impeccable comedic roles, the actor recently pulled out an impressive dramatic performance alongside Paul Rudd in Apple TV’s The Shrink Next Door. Up next, Ferrell will join Ryan Reynolds in Apple’s upcoming musical-comedy Spirited. Additionally, the actor is among those cast in Greta Gerwig’s highly-anticipated Barbie movie. Meanwhile, Witherspoon touts a bevy of awards throughout her career including an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award. Most recently, the actress has wowed audiences in TV shows like The Morning Show and Little Fires Everywhere. Up next, Witherspoon star in the long-awaited Legally Blonde 3.
