Wrestling Legend Paul Wight To Star In NFT Sci-Fi Series ‘GenZeroes’

The constantly-evolving world of cryptocurrency is about to take another sudden shift. As first reported by Deadline, Canadian company House of Kibaa is producing a new live-action sci-fi series that viewers will need to purchase an NFT to view. Additionally, the series will interestingly star professional wrestling legend, Paul Wight AKA The Big Show.
Wight joins Richard Harmon (The 100) and Kandsye McClure (Hemlock Grove) in the project’s cast. Moreover, Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Gallactica) and Bethany Brown (Psych 3), and Aleks Paunovic (Hawkeye) round out the ensemble in various roles. Van Helsing scribes Matt Venables and Jeremy Smith will board the series as co-showrunners with Wight producing alongside Canadian hockey star Neil Stevenson-Moore. Kimani Ray Smith, who recently served as a stunt coordinator for Peacemaker, will direct the 10-episode first season.

GenZeroes reportedly takes place 200 years after a devastating alien invasion. With the world in shambles, 10 factions fight each other to gain control of humanity’s future. The so-called GenZeroes Universe will include a live-action series, comics, and collectibles. Furthermore, once the series completes its NFT-exclusive run, it is likely to strike a deal with a streaming service for wide release.
Paul Wight is one of the most recognizable names in the history of professional wrestling. Standing at 7′0″ and weighing nearly 500 lbs for his career, the WWE billed him as the World’s Largest Athlete. The giant is a seven-time World Champion and currently works for All Elite Wrestling as an in-ring performer commentator. However, Wight also touts various acting roles as well including appearances in films like The Waterboy and Jingle All the Way. Most recently, Wight starred alongside Jaleel White in his own Netflix sitcom The Big Show Show.
