‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Toys Provide First Look At Jane’s New Powers

Marvel Studios is set to have an electric year. A new toy leak seems to indicate Jane Foster Thor will have a slightly new ability when Thor: Love and Thunder hits the big screen.
With still no official look of the upcoming sequel, many fans are anxious to see what Taika Waititi and company have done with the fourth Thor film. One thing to note from these toys is a different use of Mjolnir than has ever been seen before in the MCU. Jane seems to be in control of the broken hammer, following the events of Thor: Ragnarok, and able to control the individual, broken pieces that make it up. Not only do the pieces of the hammer explode out and reform, but they also seem to have different colored energy blasts. Does Jane control more than just lightning in the sequel? It’s tough to say at this point since the different colored energy blasts might be included to spur interest in purchasing the figure, but knowing Marvel, it’s impossible to rule out.
The fourth film in the Thor franchise sees the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. Additionally, Taika Waititi confirmed the actress will also take on Thor’s mantle within the events of the film at 2020’s San Diego Comic-Con. Chris Hemsworth will also return as the Son of Odin alognside Ford v. Ferrari star Christian Bale, who will play Gorr the God Butcher in the film. Moreover, the film will feature the Guardians of the Galaxy, Korg, and Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif.
