Taika Waititi’s Korg Will Return In ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’

In a piece of news that is shocking only to those who can’t read, director Taika Waititi has confirmed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that his fan-favorite character, Korg, will return in Thor: Love and Thunder.
While promoting his upcoming movie Jojo Rabbit, the writer–director that his hilarious rock monster character will be returning for the sequel. “My character is coming back, Korg,” Waititi told the audience at Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Following his surprise announcement, the audience then gave the talented director a positive reaction to that news, which prompted him to bring out his Korg voice. “Thank you. Thank you so much for that reaction.”
The last time we saw Korg was in Avengers: Endgame as he was copped up with Thor in New Asgard following the five-year time jump. He then appeared during the final battle against Thanos’ forces, where he and Drax teamed up for a brutal takedown of Cull Obsidian.

Later in the interview, Waititi discussed the script for Thor: Love and Thunder, assuring fans that the movie is on the way. “I just finished a couple drafts of that story,” he told the crowd. “There’s more Thor!”
The sequel will see the return of Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder as well as the reintroduction of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster/Thor. Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie has also been confirmed to be returning.
