When it was first announced that Michael Keaton would return as the caped crusader in the upcoming Batgirl film, many fans were excited to see how the actor would look. Well now, thanks to new set photos, the first look at the star in costume has been revealed.
The set photos, which can be seen below, feature Keaton in his iconic costume from 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns. It looks as though the suit has not been changed much from its original design and still bears the classic yellow emblem on the chest.

Keaton will serve as Batman alongside Leslie Grace, who stars as Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl. The film also features the return of J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon from 2017’s Justice League. In addition, Brendan Fraser has been cast in the film as the villain Firefly.
This will not be Keaton’s first stint as Batman in the DCEU, however. The actor is first set to appear alongside Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen in The Flash later this year.
Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will helm the film. Additionally, the script hails from Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson. It was previously announced that the project will debut on the Warner Bros. streaming service HBO Max.
