Leslie Grace Shares First Official Look At ‘Batgirl’ Costume

Fans finally have the first look at Leslie Grace in costume as Batgirl. Friday evening, the actress revealed an image from the set of the HBO Max film showcasing herself suited up.
First appearing in Detective Comics #359, Barabra Gordon is the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon and a prominent member of the Bat-Family. She fought alongside Batman and Co. for years as Batgirl until the Joker severely injured her spine, making her a paraplegic and forcing her to fight a crime a different way. Known as Oracle, Gordon provided intelligence and computer hacking services to assist her fellow superheroes, eventually becoming a founding member of the Birds of Prey.

It looks like the film has drawn inspiration from the 2014 Batgirl relaunch, which saw the young heroine don a costume much like this one. The outfit appears to have been ripped right from the page and has stayed true to the comic book origins.
Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will helm the film. Additionally, the script hails from Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson. It was previously announced that the project will debut on the Warner Bros. streaming service HBO Max.
