‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Image Offers Look At Dominique Thorne As Riri Williams

Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated blockbuster Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently filming on MIT’s campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Recently, footage from the set revealed a first look at a thrilling car chase, but now new images have offered the first look at actress Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, aka Ironheart.
Riri is a relatively newer character, first appearing in Invincible Iron Man #7 in 2016. She reverse-engineered Tony Stark’s armor and took on the mantle after he fell into a coma after a fight with Captain Marvel. Eventually, after Tony reclaimed the title of Iron Man, Riri took on the name Ironheart and became a member of the Champions.

The images which can be seen above feature a look at Thorne in plain clothes. It has yet to be revealed how she will become involved with the Wakandans in the film or how she will become the hero Ironheart. For now, though, fans will have to speculate on the nature of her character.
The film features returning stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett. Additionally, Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta has joined the movie and is rumored to portray Namor.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will release on May 6, 2022.
