Scarlett Johansson To Star In & Produce Disney’s ‘Tower of Terror’ Movie

Just weeks before we see Natasha Romanoff stand on her own in a solo film, in theaters, and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 9th, Scarlett Johansson is tightening her relationship with Disney. As first reported by Collider, Johansson is on board to star in and produce Disney’s upcoming Tower of Terror film.
Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley will write the film’s script with a search for a director ongoing. Johansson will also produce the project alongside Jonathan Lia (Runaway) via her These Pictures production banner.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, also known as Tower of Terror, is an accelerated drop tower ride located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Tokyo DisneySea, and Walt Disney Studios Park. Inspired by Rod Serling’s anthology television series, The Twilight Zone, it places riders in a seemingly ordinary hotel elevator. However, throughout the ride fictional backstories in which people have mysteriously disappeared from the elevator under the influence of some supernatural element are presented. The original version of the attraction opened in July 1994.
Johansson is one of the most well-known actresses in the world today. Following a tragic turn for her character in Avengers: Endgame, she shines in Netflix’s A Marriage Story. Up next, besides the anticipated release of Black Widow, Johansson will reprise her rockstar role of Ash in the animated film Sing 2 and lead the cast for A24’s Bride Of Frankenstein reimagining.
