Christoph Waltz & Willem Dafoe To Star In Western Thriller ‘Dead For A Dollar’

Two of the greatest living actors are uniting for a hot package at the upcoming Cannes Market. As first reported by Deadline, Christoph Waltz and Willem Dafoe are set to lead the cast of an upcoming western thriller titled Dead for a Dollar.
The project hails from the legendary filmmaker Walter Hill (The Warriors), who will write and direct. Matt Harris (Snooze Time) will co-write the script as well with Kirk D’Amico (Inescapable) and Jeremy Wall (Gun-Shy) producing.

Dead for a Dollar will take place in New Mexico Territory, Chihuahua in 1897. The plot charts the life and times of famous bounty hunter Max Borlund. Hired to find and return the young wife of Santa Fe businessman Nathan Price, who has been kidnapped. However, after Borlund crosses the border, he runs across his sworn enemy, Joe Cribbens, portrayed by Dafoe, an outlaw who is supposed to be in prison.
Willem Dafoe is one of the finest thespians of his time with four Academy Award nominations under his belt. Thanks to roles in films like Boondock Saints, Spider-Man, and Mississippi Burning, Dafoe is a household name. Additionally, the actor is highly rumored to be reprising his role of the Green Goblin in the upcoming MCU movie Spider-Man: No Way Home. Meanwhile, Christoph Waltz is a two-time Oscar winner thanks to his roles in Django Unchained and Inglourious Basterds. Next, Waltz is slated to portray Bond bad guy Ernst Stavro Blofeld in No Time To Die.
