Michael Bay Set To Direct ‘Alien’ Reboot

With Ridley Scott busy directing the next Scooby-Doo, Michael Bay is jumping on board the next Alien film.
With a Hollywood that is obsessed with reboots and sequels; 20th Century Films (Disney) has turned to a known commodity. Michael Bay, director of Transformers and producer of 2009’s Friday the 13th and 2014’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The director came in with a rough outline for his reboot which landed him the gig. Take a look at his proposed synopsis:
“A teenager on a near future Earth, Ellen Ripley’s life is going nowhere. All she wants to do is smoke weed and build mech suits with her best friend Hicks. Everything is about to change when a wacky android named Ash crash lands to Earth, warning her of an invasion by a group called the Xenomorphs. With a ragtag group of her friends and Ash, Ridley prepares for invasion in this high-octane, frequently funny adventure.”

Nothing else is known about the film at this time. Casting announcements should be made soon and expect them to be barely 18.
