‘Hamilton’ Star Renée Elise Goldsberry Boards Marvel Studios’ ‘She-Hulk’

The cast around series star Tatiana Maslany is starting to take shape. Renée Elise Goldsberry has joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk as a character named Amelia, Deadline reports.
The upcoming Disney+ series will star Maslany as Jennifer Walters, an attorney who, after receiving a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner, gains powers similar to the Incredible Hulk. The rest of She-Hulk’s cast includes Tim Roth as Abomination, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Ginger Gonzaga as Walters’ best friend.
Best known for her work in the Broadway musical Hamilton, for which she won a Tony Award in 2016, Goldman is an actress, singer and songwriter. Her other credits include Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and Netflix’s Altered Carbon.

Last month, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige discussed the productions of many of the MCU’s upcoming Disney+ series, including She-Hulk. “On March 19, as you know The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be debuting,” he explained. “June 11 will be the debut date for Loki and, of course, soon after that, we’ll have our first animated series, which is What If …?. We are finishing up Ms. Marvel, and we’re also shooting Hawkeye currently. In a few weeks, we start She-Hulk, and a week or so after that, we start Moon Knight in addition to our features.”
