‘Hardware’ Project Reportedly In Development At Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. is seemingly ready to tap into its wealth of Milestone characters. According to insider Daniel Richtman, a Hardware project is in development at the studio.

Debuting in 1993’s Hardware #1, the character was created by Dwayne McDuffie and Denys Cowan. Curtis Metcalf was a genius inventor who, with his Hardware identity, utilized a variety of high-tech gadgets that allowed him to fight crime.

Richtman did not state whether this project would be a feature film or a series, so for now, fans will have to speculate. Hardware is potentially the third Milestone Comics character to get the theatrical treatment as Warner Bros. is already working on a Static Shock film produced by Michael B. Jordan and an Icon project is rumored to be in development.
