Millie Bobby Brown To Star In & Produce Netflix’s Fantasy Movie ‘Damsel’

Fresh off a universally beloved starring role alongside Henry Cavill in Enola Holmes, Millie Bobby Brown appears to strengthen her relationship with Netflix as her career continues to blossom. This summer, it was revealed that the actress was teaming with Ozark star Jason Bateman for the upcoming Netflix film The Girls I’ve Been. Additionally, as first reported by Deadline, Brown will also star in a fantasy film in the works titled Damsel.

In addition to a starring role in the film, Brown will serve as an executive producer. Oscar-nominated Spanish filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo will direct the feature with a screenplay hailing from Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans). The story will follow a young princess named Elodie. As she prepares herself to marry Prince Henry, she discovers a plot to sacrifice her to a firebreathing dragon.

Joining Brown as the picture’s executive producers will be Zack Roth (xXx: Return of Xander Cage), Chris Castaldi (Iron Man), and the aforementioned Mazeau. Moreover, Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum (Dolittle) are on-board to produce as well.

In 2018, Brown was featured in the Time 100 list of the world’s most influential people. Following multiple award nominations for Stranger Things, the actress has one of the brightest futures in Hollywood today. In addition to this new Netflix role, Brown will reprise her roles in the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things and the monster movie Godzilla vs. Kong. Brown will also be starring in the film adaptation of The Thing About Jellyfish by author Ali Benjamin.
