Adam Sandler To Star In Johan Renck’s Netflix Drama ‘The Spaceman Of Bohemia’

The last few months have been a whirlwind for Adam Sandler fans. Following a well-talked about snub from the Academy Awards for his stress-filled turn in Uncut Gems, Sandler delivered a quirky comedy for Netflix titled Hubie Halloween. Up next, Sandler will once again join forces with the streaming service as he stars in an upcoming drama titled The Spaceman Of Bohemia, Deadline reports.
The film will adapt Jaroslav Kalfař’s 2017 novel with the same name. The story follows Jakub Procházka, the first Czech astronaut. After he is sent on his first solo mission to a cloud of intergalactic dust, he seeks to collect the mysterious element. However, after leaving his wife behind for the 18-month mission, he seemingly watches his life on earth fall to pieces. Desperate for help, the astronaut meets a giant arachnid named Hanus and seeks counsel from the alien being lurking in his ship.
