Joe Manganiello To Return As Deathstroke In ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’

Joker won’t be the only villain returning for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. According to Collider, Joe Manganiello is going to join the production to film additional scenes as Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke. Per the outlet’s report, Manganiello was spotted with a hairstyle similar to the one he donned in Justice League on his Twitch channel.
Manganiello’s first appearance as the character came in the post-credits scene of 2017’s Justice League, where he joins a newly-free Lex Luthor in starting a team to combat the world’s heroes. He was set to reprise his role in The Batman before Ben Affleck elected to step down from the director’s chair, paving the way for Matt Reeves to take over and create a new vision for the character.

While it’s unclear how large Manganiello’s role in the film will be, this story comes only a day after news broke that Jared Leto was heading to the set of Zack Snyder’s Justice League to reprise his role as Joker, meaning the so-called “Injustice League” could become a larger player in the franchise moving forward.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will release on HBO Max in 2021.
