Bo-Katan Will Co-Star In Rumored Cara Dune Spinoff Series

It seems Lucasfilm is still very much interested in building up new Star Wars content on Disney+. According to Kessel Run Transmissions, Bo-Katan will co-star in a Cara Dune spinoff series.
Recently, LRM Online reported that there is a push at Lucasfilm for Gina Carano’s Cara Dune to get her own series on Disney+. The story was later corroborated by Kessel Run Transmissions, who revealed some additional details about the series. They claim that four months ago, they were told Katie Sackhoff would return as Bo-Katan in a series focused on Cara Dune.

This news is rather interesting given it was previously reported that Sackhoff would appear as the character in Season 2 of The Mandalorian. Fans of the character will remember that in Star Wars Rebels, Sabine Wren passed the infamous Darksaber over to Bo-Katan, the same weapon wielded by Moff Gideon in the season finale of The Mandalorian.
Rumors have claimed that the new season of The Mandalorian will set up the Star Wars Rebels sequel series, but it seems like this is not all it will set up. This new report suggests that the new season could act as a springboard for a number of new Star Wars series exploring the various characters in the show.
Are you excited to see Bo-Katan return to a galaxy far, far away? Would you be interested in a Cara Dune series on Disney+? Let us know in the comments below!
The Mandalorian season 2 premieres Oct 30.
