‘Falcon & Winter Soldier’ Set Description Teases Erin Kellyman’s Role

Following Monday’s new The Falcon and the Winter Soldier set photos, it seems a breakdown of a scene may have some exciting details for fans. Murphy’s Multiverse has revealed a set description teasing Erin Kellyman’s role in the series.

According to their source, the scene featured Desmond Chiam’s character and Georges St-Pierre’s Batroc approaching Kellyman’s character. She used some kind of power to impress the former characters. Reportedly a whistling sound was heard, after which a number of extras stopped what they were doing and approached the trio as if in a trance.

While this doesn’t confirm anything about Kellyman’s role, it does offer some hints as to who she could be playing. Given the previous reports, the Thunderbolts will be used in the show, and the hypnotic abilities, it seems likely she could be playing Melissa Gold AKA Songbird.

Created by Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Macchio, and John Byrne, Melissa Gold debuted in 1979’s Marvel Two-in-one #54 as the supervillain Screaming Mimi. As a villain, she joined the female mercenary group The Grapplers, who are rumored to appear in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Eventually, under the new identity Songbird, she joined the newly formed Thunderbolts, comprised of supervillains in disguise. She has several sound-based abilities, including a hypnotic song.

For now, neither Kellyman nor Chiam’s roles have been confirmed but based on these new set photos and scene breakdowns, it seems likely they could be forming the Thunderbolts with the help of St-Pierre’s Batroc. Hopefully, as filming continues on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, fans will learn more about the upcoming series.
