Matt Reeves couldn’t wait till Saturday to treat fans to some new artwork for The Batman. The director has revealed the first look at the film’s official logo and additional artwork of the first full look at Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit.
Thursday morning Reeves posted the first official look at The Batman and new Jim Lee art of Pattinson’s Batman suited up. The images can be found below in the attached tweet.
Excited to share the very first look at our official #TheBatman logo, and some very cool additional #DCFanDome artwork by the amazing @jimlee — see more of #TheBatman at the #DCFanDome global event in the Hall of Heroes this Saturday, 8/22! #TheBatman #DCFanDome #ForTheFans pic.twitter.com/ApfngNbyor

As you can see, the new logo features the Bat-Symbol that began surfacing online yesterday after it was discovered DC had filed a trademark for it. Many had assumed the new logo would be unveiled at DC FanDome Saturday, but thankfully fans were treated to an early surprise. Reeves is still expected to premiere the first footage of The Batman at the event, along with some other insights into the film.
Before the production’s shutdown, set photos showcased The Penguin and, potentially, the Batcycle. The upcoming DC film will have Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne face off against members of the Dark Knight’s rogues gallery. Its cast includes Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. More information on The Batman and other DC properties is likely to come out this Saturday. Stay tuned to Full Circle Cinema for any and all updates!
