‘The Batman’ Will Reportedly Resume Production In September

With just a few days left until the monumental DC Fandome virtual event, DC fans are already receiving a bevy of good news. Following a leaked new look at The Dark Knight’s cowl in The Batman, a new report from Deadline reveals cameras will once again roll on the film in the United Kingdom in September.
The initial delay stems from the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Every major film temporarily shuttered its doors as necessary precautions were taken. Now, director Matt Reeves and company will be able to return to what is perhaps DC’s most anticipated release. Additionally, a new teaser for the upcoming DC Fandome event suggests the first footage of the film will come during the picture’s panel this Saturday.
Despite the layover and release date delay, director Matt Reeves also told the folks over at Deadline that he had completed over 25% of the shooting for the flick. He also expressed his gratitude for extra time to perfect his vision. “With these movies, you never have enough prep time, because they’re so complex and so enormous in so many ways,” Reeves said. “It also gives me a moment to think about the larger sequences that have yet to come up and how I want to realize those.”
