The choice to cast Momoa in the role is certain to take moviegoers by surprise. In a statement to Deadline, Jon Berg defended the casting and expressed his excitement for the outcome. “From his role as a fearsome count in a land of ice and fire to the oceanic success we all had with Aquaman, it felt only right to realize Jason this time out of snow,” Berg said. Stampede Ventures CEO Greg Silverman added, “we know Jason’s as a true human being filled with love, compassion and a deep connection to ohana, all of which is the living spirit of Christmas and Frosty.”
Following his star-making turn as the titular character in DC’s Aquaman, Jason Momoa is a household name. The actor also appears extremely excited for a role expansion in the highly anticipated director’s cut of Justice League. Moreover, the star currently appears in Apple TV’s See and will next appear in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. Additionally, Momoa will star alongside Peter Dinklage in Good Bad & Undead.
