‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Star Campbell Scott Joins ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ In Key Role

Since its inception, the Jurassic World franchise has continued the story that began in 1993’s Jurassic Park. In 2018’s Fallen Kingdom Jeff Goldblum returned to the series as Dr. Ian Malcolm with several of his co-stars set to return in the upcoming Dominion. As first reported by Collider, the third film will also bring back another familiar character.
Per the initial report, veteran character actor Campbell Scott is set to appear in the film as Lewis Dodgson. Dodgson appeared in the original Jurassic Park as a man working for John Hammond’s corporate rival who bribes Dennis Nedry to steal fertilized dinosaur embryos. However, the last time the Dodgson character appeared on-screen, he was played by Cameron Thor. In 2016, Thor was convicted of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl and thereafter sentenced to 6 years in prison.
Campbell Scott’s version of the character is now the CEO of Biosyn Genetics. He will reportedly play a key role during the events of Dominion. Scott last appeared in Netflix’s musical drama series Soundtrack alongside Jenna Dewan.

Series stars Pratt and Howard will reprise their roles in the upcoming film. Additionally, reports of the return of the stars of the original 1990 film Jurassic Park Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum are confirmed. Moreover, New Girl star Jake Johnson and The Call of the Wild‘s Omar Sy will appear in the film as well. Director Colin Trevorrow will also return to the franchise after stepping away from the 2018 sequel. Filming began in Canada in February 2020. However, in March, production stalled as a safety precaution due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, the film is still scheduled for its original June 2021 release date.
