The relaunched Jurassic World franchise has grown into one of Hollywood’s most profitable ventures. The Chris Pratt-led series explores the future of original Jurassic Park films in new and exciting ways. As first reported by THR, Jake Johnson and Omar Sy will reprise their roles in the upcoming third installment.
Both performers appeared in 2015’s Jurassic World. However, the duo was noticeably absent in the 2018 sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Johnson appeared as Lowery Cruthers, a sardonic control room operator on the Jurassic Park theme park island. Additionally, Sy played Barry Sembene, a velociraptor trainer, and friend of Pratt’s Owen Grady.
Series stars Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will reprise their roles in the upcoming film. Additionally, reports of the return of the stars of the original 1990 film Jurassic Park Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum are confirmed. Director Colin Trevorrow will also return to the series after stepping away from the 2018 sequel.
Johnson is perhaps best known for his role as Nick Miller on New Girl. Additionally, he voiced Peter Parker in 2018’s Into The Spider-Verse. Sy has previously starred in X-Men: Days of Future Past and 2011’s award-winning The Intouchables. The actor will next appear in The Call of the Wild alongside Harrison Ford.
