‘The Boys’ Audition Tapes Confirm Soldier Boy Will Appear

Based on some recently surfaced audition tapes, it appears Amazon’s The Boys is looking to add another Supe to the cast. Knight Edge Media has found audition tapes that confirm Soldier Boy will appear this season.
Created by Garth Ennis and John McCrea, Soldier Boy first appeared in 2009’s The Boys: Herogasm #1. A parody of Captain America, Soldier Boy, is easily frightened and weak-willed. While this version of the character was focused on joining the Seven, it was revealed that Mallory killed the original Soldier Boy during World War II.
Currently, two different audition tapes have surfaced featuring actors David S. Lee and Noah Bean trying out for the role. While the recordings don’t reveal much in terms of plot for this season, they do reveal a bit about Soldier Boy’s character. Like many of the other Supes, the character seems to have no regard for life based on how easily he brushed off killing off the character Gunpowder.

The character was previously teased by the series showrunner Eric Kripke. In November, Kripke tweeted an image of what appears to be a version of Soldier Boy with two soldiers behind him.
