Disney Casting Live-Action Thrawn For Future ‘Star Wars’ Project

Recently it has been announced that a number of animated Star Wars characters will make their way to live-action. Now according to insider Daniel Richtman, Disney is also looking to cast a live-action version of Thrawn.
There is no confirmation on where Thrawn will pop up first, but it seems a future Star Wars project will feature the Grand Admiral. The character was last seen in Star Wars Rebels as an antagonist for Ezra and the crew of the Ghost.

Thrawn was first introduced in the 1991 Timothy Zahn novel Heir to the Empire. The character, later on, received his own trilogy of books where he faced off against classic characters, including Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Lando Calrissian. And after Lucasfilm rebranded the Expanded Universe as non-canon Thrawn rejoined continuity in the third season of Rebels.
Thrawn is not the first character from Rebels now rumored to be getting the live-action treatment. It was previously reported that Sabine Wren will appear alongside Ahsoka Tano in season 2 of The Mandalorian. The characters will reportedly set up a sequel series for Rebels, so it seems possible Thrawn could pop up in that series.
