It seems that a few more fan-favorite characters are making their way to The Mandalorian on Disney+. According to Kessel Run Transmissions, Sabine Wren will appear in the second season of the series.
In March, it was announced that Ahsoka Tano would make her live-action debut in the series. Many fans speculated that given when The Mandalorian is set, Ahsoka would be joined by Sabine. Following the events of Star Wars Rebels, Ahsoka and Sabine were last seen traveling the galaxy in search of Ezra Bridger.
Kessel Run Transmissions claims that the two will only appear in one episode of Season 2; however, they will help to set up the Star Wars Rebels sequel series. It has long been rumored that a sequel series was in development, so it makes sense that Disney would use the success of The Mandalorian to help launch the new show. Currently, there has been no confirmation of either Sabine’s appearance or the Rebels sequel, so this remains a rumor.
In addition to Sabine, Kessel Run Transmissions also mentioned they had heard rumors both Captain Rex and Wolffe will appear briefly. On Friday, it was revealed that Temuera Morrison would join the cast as Boba Fett. In the report, it was hinted that Morrison could appear as other clones from Star Wars canon, specifically Rex. Both Rex and Wolffe were seen in Star Wars Rebels working with Ahsoka and Sabine, so it could be possible they will link up in The Mandalorian.
