‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Adds Temuera Morrison As Boba Fett

Season 2 of The Mandalorian has added another classic character to its roster. According to  The Hollywood Reporter, Temuera Morrison will play Boba Fett in the new season.

Morrison previously played the famed bounty hunter’s father, Jango Fett, in 2002’s Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Now it seems he will play the iconic character himself who seemingly died in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

Boba Fett is expected to play a small role in the new season as he was previously teased in the episode “The Gunslinger,” when a mysterious figure sporting the bounty hunter’s trademark spurs appeared.

In Attack of the Clones, it was revealed that Boba Fett was a clone of Jango Fett, which is why they can still have Morrison play the character. However, The Hollywood Reporter notes that its possible something sneaky with cloning could be going on.

Boba Fett is the second fan-favorite character to be announced for season 2, the first being Ahsoka Tahno. In March, it was revealed that Rosario Dawson would portray the live-action version of the heroine.

The Disney+ series was recently renewed for a third season, so this leaves the streaming service even more room to welcome classic characters to the show. But for now, fans will be able to look forward to the famed bounty hunter taking on Pedro Pascal’s Mandalorian.
