It seems some bizarre characters could be appearing in season 2 of the DC Universe’s series. According to the Doom Patrol Facebook Group, both the Sex Men and the Shadowy Mr. Evans may make their live-action debuts.
While it was previously reported that Doctor Tyme and Red Jack will surface this season, they may not be alone. According to the group, Doom Patrol season 2 could feature some very obscure characters in the form of the Sex Men and the Shadowy Mr. Evans.
Created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case, the Sex Men made their first appearance in Doom Patrol #48. The group is one of the Pentagon’s paranormal units dealing specifically with paranormal sexual phenomenon. In their first appearance, a trio of Sex Men, including Captain Kiss, Lieutenant Cuddle, and Lieutenant Torture, worked alongside the Doom Patrol to take down the Shadowy Mr. Evans.
The Shadowy Mr. Evans, who made his debut in Doom Patrol #47, was also created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case. He is a mysterious figure who was meant to be one of the harbingers of the Apocalypse. When he made his first appearance on Earth, the world was plunged into a dream of lust and libido.
It seems that DC Universe is looking to set up an even more insane season than the first with Doom Patrol‘s sophomore stint on the streaming service. Currently, it is difficult to say how all of these new characters will come together, so for now, fans will have to wait for the series to premiere in June.
